Rie Tanaki grew up in the city of Kanazawa , which is the hometown of traditional
fabric-dyeing art called Kaga Yuzen. Inspired by Kaga Yuzen, she paints the scenery
of seasons, flowers and landscapes of Japan by dripping oil paint on the canvas.
She utilizes a random pattern of colors and shapes created by dripping paints
because of its natural beauty with no intentional act.
Her goal is to draw paintings which captures the hearts of her audiences and
triggers them to realize the happiness surrounding them.
